Refund & Cancellation Policy

Introduction
This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the terms governing cancellations, refunds, rescheduling, and payment adjustments for services booked through The Vedic Sewa platform. By booking, purchasing, or participating in a service through the platform, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
1. Scope
To provide transparent terms for every transaction, users must submit details when complete, and up-to-date information during registration. The platform reserves the right to verify any information provided and may suspend or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent details. Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities performed under their account.
3. Document Verification
All policy rules and calculations apply to all services booked through the platform, including but not limited to:
- Online Pujas
- Temple Services
- Samagri Purchases
- Consultant/Guru Services
- Ritual Sessions
- Personalized Services
- Live-stream Sessions
- Subscriptions/Services Cancellation
2. Cancellation by Customer
Customers may cancel eligible bookings through the platform subject to the following rules:
Cancellation eligibility depending on:
- Type of service booked
- Time remaining before the scheduled start
- Personal circumstances
- Third-party booking terms incurred
The platform reserves the right to charge cancellation fees to cover administrative costs.
3. Cancellation by Guru
If a Guru is unable to perform a service due to unforeseen circumstances, the platform may:
- Reschedule the booking
- Assign another qualified Guru to perform
- Issue a full refund
- Issue a API refund/store credit
Customers will receive a notification of such decisions.
4. Refund Eligibility
Refund eligibility for cancelled services is determined using key criteria:
Eligible Situations:
- Service cancelled by the platform
- Service cancelled by the assigned Guru
- Technical failures
- Payment made but no confirmation was received
- Billing error detected
Refund requests must be submitted through the platform.
5. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:
Completed Services
Once a consultation, puja, livestream, or digital service has been successfully completed, the booking and/or purchase is non-refundable.
Customer Failures
If a customer fails to attend a scheduled, live, online consultation without prior cancellation, they may not be refunded.
Late Cancellation
Cancellations requested after the cancellation deadline set for the specific service are not eligible for a refund.
Personal Preferences
Personalized prayers, yajnas, or specific items prepared or dispatched for a customer cannot be cancelled or refunded once preparation or shipping is under way.
Digital Content
Downloads, recordings, or streamed content access is non-refundable once the download link or stream access has been provided.
6. Consultation Refund Policy
For consultation services:
More Than 24 Hours Before Start
Refund configuration: full refund less minor processing fees / standard cancellation charge.
Less Than 24 Hours Before Start
Refund configuration: partial refund / credit voucher code or no refund depending on specific booking terms.
After Consultation Begins
No refund is provided once a consultation has started.
7. Puja Service Refund Policy
Because pujas require preparation, materials purchase, and temple coordination, different rules apply:
Before Preparation Begins
Customers may request a refund less materials cost.
After Preparation Starts
Refund configuration: limited partial refund / no refund options.
After Puja Completion
No refunds are processed under any circumstances.
8. Livestream and Online Session Refunds
Refund criteria for live stream events:
- Technical failure causing complete service interruption
- Failure to broadcast the scheduled show
- Significant technical issues on the provider side
Minor buffering or personal connection issues do not qualify for a refund.
9. Refund Request Process
To request a refund, users must:
- Log in to their account
- Navigate to the refund section
- Submit a formal request
- Provide supporting documentation if required
Refund requests must be made within 7 days of the billing event.
10. Refund Review Process
All refund requests are reviewed by the platform support team.
Factors taken into account include:
- Booking history
- Service provider status
- Reason for request
- Payment method
- Cancellation timing
- Supporting documentation
The platform reserves the right to accept or decline refund requests.
